Hi Tribe!

My name is Shannon and I'm so excited you've decided to begin this journey! I've been making waist beads for over 10 years and it is truly a labor of LOVE. I initially became interested in them as a tool to monitor my weight loss/weight gain but they became so much more than that. As I wore them, I wanted other women to feel the peace, confidence, and sensuality they afforded me. 

I began researching waist bead's roots, their role in African culture, and how to create them. My love for them grew immensely and the desire to share that love has never faded. Since relocating back home to Texas, I have been able to share that love with so many of you. 

It fills my heart to tie waist beads onto you and I ABSOLUTELY love the little dance you do once they are on!  Know that each strand is hand made by me and infused with love and care. Welcome to DCMWB!! Welcome to your journey!
